Times are tough: Is investing in branding really necessary these days?

It’s true.  Every dollar seems to count more than it used to. That being said, do small business owners really need to be spending precious dollars on things like branding? Absolutely.  Actually, more than ever. The battle for buyers is intensifying and every business owner needs to be highly strategic in the areas of their business that they invest in.  Branding is one of those areas that just cannot be overlooked. Why? What does it achieve? A good store design and brandinggame plan will do the following:

  • Motivate the buyer to buy.
  • Distinguish you from others.
  • Connect you with your target market.
  • Make an impression.
  • Be consistent.

So, if your store design isn’t kicking these goals for you, you may want to consider doing something about it before the next financial year kicks into gear.  Consider your current branding and store design and ask yourself which areas of your business could do with a facelift.  It could be anything from your website to your signage to your doormat.
