Creating Signage that Soars: The Helicopter Group Case Study

by admin on January 16, 2014

The latest Signarama case study takes our Echuca team to the skies, literally, as they undertake a unique and exciting vehicle wrap project.

Vehicle wraps represent one of the most oft-sought and lucrative businesses for Signarama stores nationwide. Indeed, upwards of half of all the work we do is on vehicular signage. However, most people’s view of vehicle signs concentrate on the more ‘conventional’ forms of corporate cars and delivery trucks which is why the latest Signarama Case Study is so remarkable.

Allan Pankhurst, owner of the Signarama Echuca store was recently approached by a unique client, Michael van der Zipp, Chief Pilot Director of The Helicopter Group located in nearby Mentone, VIC. Michael needed a viable alternative to costly paint jobs on his fleet of helicopters and wondered if Signarama, with its wealth of vehicle wrap knowledge and experience, could help. Michael’s unique needs included the ability for whatever substance used to withstand the harsh realities of the Central Australia weather where his units do most of their work.

Allan and his team had the perfect answer. Using a unique material that was both UV stabilised as well as durable, lightweight, and easy to remove, he offered Michael a cheaper, faster alternative that looked just like the $15,000 paint job on his other bird.

Find out more about Allan and Michael’s relationship as well as the future jobs they have planned together at the Signarama Case Study Headquarters.
